Dragon Force 65 Restricted Class Rules

The rules for the Dragon Force 65, a one design class sailed within the RG65 rules, are available through the DF UK Class association here.

Sail Numbers

UK Sail numbers are assigned to members of the RG65 Class Association by the National Registrar. Registration and number allocation are free.

Sail numbers are issued as personal numbers so sailors with multiple boats can re use rigs easily - useful for a development class.

Sails should carry the class insignia and sail numbers should be a minimum of 8cm in height. Full details for their position are in the class rules.

For membership and sail numbers, use the online Registration form.

Sail Area Calculations

A spread sheet has been put together that will take the hard work out of the calculations. There are two versions, one for Microsoft Office and the other for MAC Open Office. There is also a PDF file giving an example of how to use the spread sheet. This spread sheet is offered for free use by the UK RG65 Class Association and the results of the calculations will be accepted at any meeting Open or National status, providing the drawing as described in the class rules, as per the example is included.

At the moment there is no formal measurement requirement for racing in the UK. Boats can be self measured using the form in the the class rules document  If you are planning to take a boat to a International tournament you will need to make sure it complies to the measurement criteria.
